Kristin N. (Smith) Gilbert Community Involvement
- Habitat for Humanity – Mrs. Kristin N. (Smith) Gilbert became involved with Wicomico County’s Habitat for Humanity in 2013 when she was asked to participate as a “Celebrity Waiter” for the Annual Chefs for Habitat fundraiser. Mrs. (Smith) Gilbert was one of the top fundraising “celebrities” and had a great time supporting Habitat. She was then asked to serve on the Board of Directors and has been a Director since 2014. Mrs. (Smith) Gilbert is also active on the Habitat Development Committee and enjoys volunteering for the construction of new Habitat homes.
- Law Day – Over the past several years, Ms. Amy Taylor and Ms. Kristin N. (Smith) Gilbert have each been actively engaged in the planning and presentation of “Law Day”, an event presented by the Lower Eastern Shore Women’s Bar Association where middle school age children have the opportunity to observe Court proceedings and learn about numerous career opportunities available, including attorney, court reporter, courtroom clerk, sheriff’s deputy, and more.
